Fort Worth Parade of Lights

Tonight we attended the Fort Worth Parade of Lights. Rather, I should say, my wife and kids attended. I spent 1 hour and 20 minutes finding a parking spot. By the time I parked, walked 6 blocks, and fought the crowd to find my family, I got to sit down for one marching band, and the final float. =/

Still, though, that's my lot, as Dad. We are the warriors who park, start grills, assemble Christmas Trees, put up lights, and do all the other thankless tasks so that our families can enjoy themselves. Sounds selfless doesn't it?

I thought so too.
