It has been great here on VOX, they do all the work and we just blog! Well blogging can seem like work. I have converted my site BIBIEfreak.org in to a blog site, with a goal of regular if not daily blogging on all Christian topics. If you have found this site interesting (Biblefreak's VOX that is) and would like to follow my thoughts and ideas; I encourage you to do so, by following the links in this page. I am looking for a way to transfer over some of what I written here, may have to do it manually. Although the new site has been around for some time, I wanted something new. I maintain the new site and this also helps sharpen my technical skills.
Recent articles include a Christian take on 12 Step programs, including 12 Steps take from Scripture. A reflection on Brotherly Love, and the site is open to contributions, sound debate and earnest exhortation.
Thanks to VOX for host me since their BETA, I was happy to be part of the banner contest, and other early offerings. Many blessings to all and may God richly provided for your every need.
as of today I will no longer post music at this site...I will post my tunes at this sight
Trying to simplify my life(God help me...LOL) I will keep this site open because I have posted too many nice tracks to shut this down but no new tunes will post here.
Be Blessed, Be Safe,
& Have a Wonderful Thursday.
It’s hard to believe a year has past when it seems I posted such a short time ago. It really was a short time- if you consider our lives are nothing more than a vapor.
Work is consuming most of my time, and the recovery process the rest of it.
I have been in a major study of Hebrews for the past few weeks. Prompted by a family who recently left our fellowship over infant baptism, and a pamphlet I was given which I was asked to give an opinion on: “A Critical Evaluation of Infant Baptism” the article can be found here: http://www.founders.org/library/welty.html
I have also been listening to a lot of sermons and other podcasts on my iPod (I love my iPod) during my 2+ hours of daily commute.
The following is the song "Bring it on" by Mr. Steven Curtis Chapman:
I didnt come lookin for trouble
And I dont want to fight needlessly
But Im not gonna hide in a bubble
If trouble comes for me
I can feel my heart beating faster
I can tell somethings coming down
But if its gonna make me grow stronger then
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let the hard rain fall, let it make me strong
Bring it on
Now, maybe youre thinkin Im crazy
And maybe I need to explain some things
Cause I know Ive got an enemy waiting
Who wants to bring me pain
But what he never seems to remember
What he means for evil God works for good
So I will not retreat or surrender
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let the hard rain fall, let it make me strong
Bring it on
Now, I dont want to sound like some hero
Cause its God alone that my hope is in
But Im not gonna run from the very things
That would drive me closer to Him
So bring it on
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let the trouble come, let it make me fall on the One whos strong
Bring it on
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder roll, let the storm winds blow
Bring it on
Let me be made weak so Ill know the
strength of the One whos strong
Bring it on
Bring it on
I have listened to Mr. Chapman for many years and I'm continually amazed by the power of plain and simple truth found in his lyrics. Gods word is Gods word, by it He fashioned everything! Christ said of His Fathers Word “Thy Word is Truth!” I agree with every fiber of my being.
Remember, God is the KING of the JUNGLE- we are just the clowns, He is the Ringmaster.
Blessings and Love,
Matthew
